The Edda poem in Grandma's poetry book
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ash I know you stand, named Yggdrasill, lofty tree, spreading o’er white sands.
Where dew comes, as does fall in the dales, stand eternal, over the green Urd’s well.
Sun shall darken, Earth sink into the Sea, from Heaven disappear, bright stars.
Raging smoke, air feeds the fire, burning hot on high, into sky itself.
Hall she sees standing, bright in the sun, gold adorned, in Gimlé.
There shall, only true people live, and for all their days, happiness enjoy.
